The Alamedin Gorge is one of the four most visited and popular gorges of the Kirghiz Range. In this gorge you can find the famous sanatorium Tyoplye Kluchi (translated as Hot Springs), which are basically located in the gorge. That is why the gorge is often called The Hot Springs. Usually all tourist routes begin from here- 12 km from Koi-Tash village. A good asphalted road goes to the sanatorium, also many recreation utilities were built in this area. In the beginning of the area you can a swimming pool with hot mineral hydrogen sulfide water. Also, you can easily rent a room in the sanatorium in a mountain house, located 22-25 km from the end of the gorge. There are a lot of mountain peaks, side gorges, glaciers, passes, waterfalls and lakes there. All of them are popular among tourists and climbers, who can take routes of any difficulty and length. Moreover, peaks and passes at altitudes 3,500 – 4,200 m are not only at the end of the gorge, but also at the sides gorges near the sanatorium. A variety of trees and shrubs grow in the gorge such as archa, birch, mountain ash and all common types of shrubs including the hedge rose and barberry.
