Barskoon Gorge is located on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake higher Barskoon village. The length of the Barskoon gorge is about 25 km. There is an unpaved road, which is maintained in an excellent condition by Kumtor Gold Mine, located in the spurs of this gorge. There are paths to remote areas through this gorge, up to the upper reaches of the Naryn River. The gorge in its entry part is very popular. Tourists are attracted by beautiful and powerful waterfalls. The most famous are the Bowl of Manas, the Leopard Tears, located at an altitude of 2,500 m above sea level, at a distance of 12 km from Barskoon village.
