You can drive to Kegeti gorge along the road that begins near the market in Ivanovka village. The road till the turnpike in Kegeti gorge is asphalted, then the unpaved road goes to the pass, after which it descends to Suusamyr to Western Karakol river. Until the old abandoned tourist hut in the side gorge of At-Jailoo the road is good for driving but past that hut in many places the road is washed out and bridges are almost all destroyed. The gorge itself is beautiful: half of it is covered with mixed coniferous and deciduous forests, in which there are many birches, mountain ashes, pines and larch trees. Each side gorge has a forest. The main gorge has 2 large beautiful waterfalls. The first of them, 42 m high, is close to the beginning of the gorge. The second one, which is 36 m high, is nearer to the end of the gorge. Its flow often splits into two and falls to the ground in two streams. There are many side gorges, almost every one of them is of interest to tourists. Some of them are intensively built up, especially the main Kegeti gorge and the side gorge Kel-Tor. In many places you can easily rent a room.
