Kichi-Kemin Gorge is the gorge bordering with Kazakhstan. It is located in the north of the initial part of of the famous Boom gorge, with length of 30 km. Somewhere in the middle of the gorge, you can find a mining village – Ak-Tyuz, which is 36 km distant from the highway to Issyk-Kul. This village is located at an altitude of 2,200 m on the road and you can get there by descent asphalt road. The george is forested and there are plenty nooks with very beautiful mountain forest landscapes. However precipitations are quite often, in the winter snow reaches 1,5 m. Thus, in the summer, you can find various kinds of mushrooms.
