This gorge is part of the Issyk-Ata system of gorges, and all rivers of these gorges flow into one river – Issyk-Ata. You can enter this gorge from the area of summer houses (called dacha) near the village of Santash. Here the gorge is very wide with low slopes, heavily overgrown with bushes, mostly barberry and dogrose. At a distance of 12 kilometers from its beginning, the gorge is divided into 2 parts: on the left it continues as Tuyuk, and on the right it continues as Kok-Moinok. In Kok-Moinok gorge, the trail goes far above the river and goes along a grassy slope with rare cedar trees. There is a private fishing pond there, where you can fish a trout for a fee, further on you will see a cascading 16 meters high waterfall. Far from the beginning there is the lake of Kok-Moynok (2,780 m above the sea level) and the non-category Kok-Moinok pass (at an altitude of 2,860 m above the sea level), along which you can hike to Tuyuk gorge.
